The
Like Minds Collective started as The Like Minds Quintet,
formed Jesse Nolan in 2006 on the campus of Indiana
University. The band performed the original compositions
and arrangements of its five members who came from various
musical backgrounds but shared a passion for composing
and playing new music and continually pushing the envelope.
The group opened for the Count Basie Big Band and performed
at the Elmhurst College Jazz Festival, The North Texas/Addison
Jazz Festival, and The 2006 North Sea Jazz Festival.
Since
leaving IU, Jesse has transitioned this group into becoming
The Like Minds Collective, a group of musicians that
perform in various musical settings. They will be taking
the Chicago music/jazz scene by storm soon!
